First Snowfall

What is about the first snowfall that makes the world seem magical? Is it the lack of color? The contrasting dark silhouettes against the white? No, I think it must be the stillness that a soft blanket of snow can only bring. A humbling stillness that brings one to stop all the hustle and bustle of modern life.

What does the first snowfall mean to you? P.S. Don't forget to share your captures this Season below! In case you missed it, find my 5 tips for creating a Photography Planner. P.P.S. Come take a sneak peek at my new website, it's almost ready. I'll be hosting LNRseasons there next week!!

  7. Yes, I think it is the stillness amid all the white that's so magical. It doesn't snow where I live, so when we travel to snow I'm always thrilled!

  9. Lovely! Thank you for sharing! Doesn't look like we are going to get any snow around here this weekend as it has been 70 degrees for the last couple of weeks which is so unusual for January in Georgia!

  10. The first snowfall where I am is a pretty big deal, because we so rarely get snow. And we are super lucky if it sticks! … Love your images! :)

  11. Well, we do not get snow here in coastal Southern California but we notice when the first snowfall cover the mountains. To me, it means the end of the year is approaching and time to reflect is upon me. #PhotoFriday
