The Country: Wildflowers

There's a lot of things to love about the countryside in Summer; tall golden prairie grass billowing in the breeze like waves in the ocean, lighting bugs dancing at twilight, and the call of the mourning dove over the foggy morning sky.

Wildflowers put on their own unique show. A show of color, where you least expect it. Wild thistles growing in along the edges of the pastures or lavender chicory amongst the clover in the meadows. Each are an intricate brush that paints summer in the country.

Photoshop Tutorial:

  7. I love the thistle in the summer as well. And, almost every summer I miss it in full bloom. I missed it again this summer. UGH. Your shots are beautiful.
