Winter's Gift

I thought this might be a good time to remind ourselves of winter's gifts.  A third of the U.S. population is in a winter storm. So, take in the beauty of winter's fury.  We won't be seeing a snow blanket like this again for sometime, maybe even a lifetime! For me, I shall enjoy the peace it brings after the storm and remarkably clear light that only layers, upon layers of snow can create.

Antique your images
  1. Layer the White Oak Texture on your image for a grunge look
  2. Working in the Layers Palette- set the Blending Mode of the texture to Multiply, slide the Opacity down a few percentages
  3. Duplicate the Layer [Ctrl J] and change the blending of the new layer to Overlay, lower the Opacity by 10 percent
  4. Warm up your hues with the Faded Letter Texture, set the Blending Mode to Saturation
  5. Adjust the Opacity of the top texture to about 65%

  5. Excellent points about the storms. I do enjoy them, although - as a Sandwich Generation granny nanny I don't always get to take it easy during OR after. Especially if one little one gets sick and has to go to the doctor's which we went through during the last storm. But God is good and we all made our trips safely and it was quite intriguing to see the snow coming down as we drove. It reminded me of a sci fi flick where they zoom thru the sky into stars. :)

Your pictures here and at My3Boybarians are so beautiful. I know my senior mom would especially love the flowers as anything gardening related is her favorite. I'm thinking that effect would be delightful for photos for grandparents and grandchildren as well? Such a delightful Sweet Shot Tuesday. Thank you.
