In the Studio: Rhapsody in Blue

Captured in this still life are three my favorite things to photograph - tokens of nature, color, and vintage cameras. I am lucky to have four windows in my studio, two facing south and two facing west. The sunlight really bathes my art table that I painted mint green last spring. This session was inspired by Artist Andrea McClain, a master of still life photography.

In the Studio: Nesting

Spring is in full bloom! Forsythia is always one of the first to bloom on our hill. We are greeted by it for the first few weeks of Spring before the blooms are shed and green leaves take their place. So, I cut a few branches to grace our dinning room table and to create with in the studio. Which lead me to open the windows and dust everything (including the ceiling fans).

Photo Trends: Nests

I love to see nests in photos, either handmade or natural. For this nest I stacked a grass nest, mini grapevine wreath, and shredded music sheets.
I love the mix of textures in nest!
