The Inspired Notebook

While it's been super hot here, in the triple digits in fact, I have been spending more time in my studio.  I love signs with inspiring words and decided to make one myself. It's called Happy Day.  I printed it out on white card stock and pinned it to my burlap bulletin board.

I used the my Happy Day sign as an inspiration for using some of my paper and ribbon scraps.  I started with the a summer card strung with little paper flags. Then I made three gift tags to match. I'm thinking I'll send the card to my nieces with best wishes for a new school year. What have you been doing to make the best of the heat?

  1. This is absolutely beautiful! Did you use a spray mist on the "sweet sunshine" card? Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Thanks Crystal, it's actually a paper scrap from the dear lilly series. You can get the same effect with letter stickers and spray mist or stamp ink mixed with alcohol. Just remove the stickers when you're done misting!
