If you travel across the Midwest Plains you will find pastures and fields laid out like a quilt as far as the eye can see.  The plains are dotted by farms from different eras, each holding their own against the elements, economy, and time.

  8. This really reminds me of a barn over in Illinois...can't think which highway it is on. I like it, of course. I have photos almost just like it.

    1. You may have seen it Rose, it's off of Highway 116 in Illinois. I found that area to be prime for "barn hunting"!

  14. We don't have plains around here in East Texas. Everything is so full of trees and brush. Mostly pine trees! These are beautiful!!
