Before-n-After: Melody

All the entries are in and it's time to vote for this week's favorite Texture Twist!  Here's your chance to nominate a winner for the Natalie French's Giveaway!!  Check out my tutorial collaboration with Twiggs!

Create a soft black and white with any image!

  1. Working in Photoshop, open the Bath Tiles Texture. Select the move tool and drag the texture on top your image.
  2. Resize the texture as needed by pulling on a corner until it covers your image.
  3. In the layers palette change the blending mode of the texture to color
  4. To soften it up - slide the opacity bar down to reveal the color underneath

  8. Ashley,
I think I learned it from my Mom. She's always had a talent for grouping things into a pleasing result. Rather quilting, dress making, decorating or her pies!

Amy, you can vote her on the Texture Twist post! Thanks!

  19. The still life is beautiful - and I LOVE the color of those eggs. It would be cool to see a bit of color of the eggs in the b&w version... Your blog is very exciting. I need to carve out time to explore it soon.
