The Inspired Notebook: Shadow box Makeover

Shadow Box Makeover

I'm excited to share this week's Inspired Notebook project from our friend Sarah at Alderberry Hill

Are you ready to create art for your creative space? Raid your tacky wall art stash! Sarah had her "awful piece of art" lurking in her closet for years!

  1. Disassembled your old shadow box and give the frame a skim coat of pale turquoise paint.
  2. Pick out a piece of scrapbook paper that complements the Sign. Cover the inside of the shadow box with your paper using your favorite adhesive.
  3. Get out your trusty hot glue gun and glue two twigs: one about 1” from the top and the other 1” from the bottom.
  4. Punch 4 holes in the corners of the sign and tie the sign to the twigs with bakers twine.

Sarah left the glass off her frame for added dimiension and for an interchangeable art display! Visit Sarah at her Blog | Facebook | Twitter | Pinterest to see what she comes up with next!

Subscribe to the Life-n-Reflection Newsletter and you'll receive the Inspired Create Sign as a free gift!

I can't wait to see what you are creating this week! Please share a link with me to your project on Facebook, Twitter, or in the comments below.

  2. It looks wonderful and I love the colours that were used too.

If you have a minute to spare I'd be thrilled if you could share this post at my weekly Say G'Day linky party-it would be a perfect addition!

    Best wishes,

    1. Thanks Natasha, went away for the weekend and I came home sick. I'll have to catch it next week.
