The Texture Touch

This still life brings me memories of my Mother's sewing room.  My Mother made so many dreams come true growing up with treasures made in her sewing room. The antique ribbon lace is from my Great Grandmother's sewing supplies.  I love how you can combine little things you treasure to create vision of your memory.  What have you photographed lately that is a simple treasure to you?

Intermediate Lesson:
  1. Start by adding the aging estate texture over your image
  2. Set the blending mode of this layer to overlay
  3. Add a second texture - ledger over the first texture layer
  4. Select the soft light blending
  5. Lower the opacity of this top layer to soften the the lines
