Stepping outside into a foggy Spring morning just as the sun rising and I see the golden Chanitilly Lace of the black walnut trees dangling from the branches. They remind of the Walnut Grove Farm I was born and the memories they lay deep in the roots there. You can read more about stories from farm in our Bittersweet Walnut Grove Series.

Furkins! We have those right now on the mesquite trees too. Neat photos!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! I like your dreamy photos, and the framing of the shots.
ReplyDeleteAwe thank you Barb, how of sweet of you to say!
DeleteWhat a lovely and simple subject for photos. The stark blue sky is a wonderful backdrop.
ReplyDeleteYes it is, the black sky is great for experimenting with!
DeleteWe have lots of those kind of trees in our neighborhood, too!

Thank you Molly, sometimes I just need to write. Even if it's only a few lines. Though I could write another book about Walnut Grove.
DeleteWhat a pretty shot. I never can capture these trees this well.

Oh, I never knew what Chantilly Lace actually looks like. So cool. I'll now see it everywhere, I bet.
