The Texture Touch


This was taken up north in late spring. I guess the trees around the barn are what is referred to as, late bloomers. I think the rust stains and bare branches give it a faded charm appearance.  So, I went with deep, heavy textures.

  1. Apply the spring song texture on the overlay blending mode
  2. Set the opacity of the texture to 80%. (Note I cropped out the music scale and number.)
  3. Add the champagne overlay #1 on the darken blending

  16. I really like the muted colors. They are almost pastel-ish. It has a soft undertone but it still looks like a building that once did a lot of work.
