Legacy
This a farm I photographed last fall. Surrounding the barn is an ocean of corn fields, laid out flat for as far as the eye can see. The farm is dotted by many barns, homes, silos, and corn cribs. It was given the Centennial Award for preserving our agricultural heritage. In America this is quite an accomplishment, considering we are young country to have a farm that is owned and operated by the same family for more than one hundred years.

ReplyDeleteLove these! Such a nice feeling to see some summer looking places when I live in a winter not-so-wonderland ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that second shot. Are those stairs on the roof?!
ReplyDeleteEach copula has large swing door. So, I think the area that look like stairs was used for loading hay on the back of a tractor, similar to the conveyer machines today.
DeleteWOW- what a great place.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your award...great photos and collage.
