Weekend Texture Twist

Congrats to last week's Texture Twist Winner - Amarie author of Tickle my Whimsy

I'm so excited to share with a Texture Twist by the Shabby Photographer!

 In Natalie's own words "this is how the magic happened..."
  1. I duplicated my image, changed it to screen, and set the opacity to 50% ( I like doing this as it will give your picture that over exposed kind of look that i love)
  2. I  added Life-n-Reflection's texture Morning Mist at 60% on overlay
  3. I used a soft brush on 25% opacity and painted black to brush some of the texture off the blueberry`s that were more in the focus
  4. Once I finished I applied a unsharpen mask to Amount 50% Radius 2.0 and Threshold 5 just enough to bring back the fine detail of the blueberries
See more of Natalie's gorgeous work at her blog and etsy shop!

  12. In or out of shadow, blueberries are one of my favorite fruits!

    I HAD A LITTLE SHADOW
    (With apologies to Robert Louis Stevenson)

    I had a little shadow
    No bigger than my thumb;
    I took him to the meadow
    And there I gave him rum.

    My drunken little shadow
    Did weave and bob and pitch;
    He stumbled from the meadow
    And fell into a ditch!
